   Achieving a six pack of abs is the dream of most guys that I know. Achieving the six pack can be a
never ending battle and often a very frustrating one. The answer to the question how can I get a six
pack of abs has eluded nearly all men and women for what seems an eternity. Part of the challenge is
that for each fitness expert you ask you will probably obtain just as many separate answers. Much of
the truth about achieving a six pack of abs is bogus. This article can help.

I listed 5 areas that advertisers and marketing experts use to draw those of us that are unsuspecting
and desparate to try anything to achieve those elusive abs. If you are like the rest of us you long for
those ripped abs and that v-taper waistline. Isn't that why you are reading this? Here some pitfalls to
avoid in your quest for the six pack:

1. Many so-called "health foods" are actually skillfully disguised junk foods that in fact stimulate you to
obtain more belly fat... Yet the diet food marketing industry continues to fib to you so they can increase
their profits.

2. Ab exercises like crunches, sit-ups, and ab machines are the LEAST successful method of getting
rock hard and washboard abs.

3. Boring repetitive cardio exercise routines are NOT the greatest way to lose body fat and reveal
those six pack abs.

4. You DON'T need to throw away your money on expensive "extreme fat burner" pills (that don't work)
or other bogus products. Eating healthy with the right foods will get you much further in your quest for
abs than any supplements on the market.

5. Ab belts, ab-rockers, ab-loungers, and other infomercial ab-gimmicks...They're all a complete waste
of your time and money. Despite the misleading infomercials, the perfectly chiseled fitness models in
the commercials did NOT get their perfect body by using that "ab contraption"... They got their flawless
body through aggressive workouts and sound eating habits.

 Who wants to know the real truth about six pack abs and what is required to get them? Many people
are suffering from wanting to lose weight or get in shape, but have no idea what they need to do, so
they try long hours of cardio, some healthy food and maybe some sit-ups... A short warning, this is not
the best way to get six pack abs! This short article will explain exactly what people do wrong when it
comes to getting six pack abs.

A big myth is that you can get six pack abs from hours and hours of cardio. This sounds right, but is
counterintuative. The reason for this is because your body starts to recognize the tempo of your
workout and adapts itself to be more conservative with it's energy, thus burning fewer calories the
more you do it.

Another thing is that people think they will get six pack abs by doing a bunch of sit-ups and crunches,
but that is not effective at all. The reason for this is that it doesn't burn any calories, it just helps
strenghten the ab muscles, and maybe shape them. You need to burn fat in order to get a six pack, so
you have to do fat burning exercises, not ab strengthening workouts.

The third thing people do wrong is rely on ab rollers and other ab machines to do the work for them.
Again, these do not work for the simple reason that they are not desgined to burn fat, much like the
regular ab exercies and ab workouts. These, much like ab workouts do not burn any stomach fat,
which is what needs to be gone in order to get visual six pack abs.

So what is the secret for getting that ripped six pack that you so desperately want? The truth about six
pack abs is that you need to do a variation of a few different exercises in order to get the full effect of
your workout.
