Celebrating 10 years of building safer communities together

North Devon is ‘Safe and Sound’

A new quarterly magazine is being launched, celebrating the first 10 years of an organisation that works to
reduce crime and anti-social behaviour across North Devon and Torridge.

Safe and Sound is the new publication from community safety partnership - Safer North Devon.

The first edition contains articles about cleaning up graffiti, listening to the needs of young people, domestic
violence and responding to hate incidents. Also, there is the chance for one lucky reader to win an M&S
voucher for sending in their views about ‘Safe and Sound’.

Members of the public can pick up a free copy and find out more about what is going on in their local
neighbourhoods at:

• their local police station, doctors, dentist or library
• district, parish and town council buildings
• North Devon District Hospital

Safe and Sound is also available online at http://www.safernorthdevon.co.uk/ along with further information
about the work of Safer North Devon.

Safer North Devon Manager Amanda Palmer says: “Local council, police and partners under the Safer
North Devon partnership are proud to deliver projects that make a real difference to local peoples lives.”

Superintendent Kevin Harris added: “Have a read of Safe and Sound to see what goes on behind the
scenes in your community to make northern Devon one of the safest places in the country.”
