The Budget Worksheet
Your first-step guide to getting your spending on track
Total Budget
Start by thinking about the total amount of money you're able to spend. Consider all sources: you and your fiancé, both your parents, and any other generous relatives. Enter total budget: _______________

Enter reception budget: _______________ (Multiply your TOTAL budget by .5)
Music: 10 percent

Extras: 6 percent
This is where you put all those random little items that can really add up to big money. If you’ll be covering the cost for most or all of these extra touches, you’ll need more than 6 percent of your total budget allocated here, so pull a couple of percentage points from other categories. Includes:
Bridesmaids gifts Parents Gifts Wedding gifts for each other Favours Hotel room for yourselves Wedding rings Marriage license Church fees
If you intend to hire a wedding consultant, the fee is usually a percentage of your total budget (10 to 20 percent, depending on her involvement). Take her fee right off the top of your total.
