The “Year of Issue” and “Month of Issue” shown in the table are the month and year of issue shown on each bond directly beneath the caption “Issue Date.” Series H bonds were issued from June 1952 through December 1979. Series HH bonds were issued from January 1980 through August 2004. Interest is payable semiannually on the first day of the month shown in the column headed “Interest Payments” next to the year and month of issue. Bonds with issue dates not shown in the table have reached final maturity and earn no interest. Bonds reach original maturity ten years from their issue dates. Series H bonds issued since February 1957 have been granted two ten-year extensions and reach final maturity thirty years from their issue dates. Series HH bonds issued since January 1980 have been granted one ten-year extension and reach final maturity twenty years from their issue dates.
