       Enrichment Programme

        Autumn Term 2009
Together to learn, to grow, to serve
Activities that take place out of school hours help students to improve motivation,
build self-esteem and become more effective learners.

Dear Student

You are extremely fortunate that the staff at Emmanuel offer such a fantastic range of lunch time and after
school activities – all for your benefit!

It was good to see over 200 students at the recent Enrichment Fair and I know lots of you have already signed
up for a number of clubs. As you can see, this term’s programme offers a wide range of activities, with a number
of brand new clubs: Grupo Italiano, Speed Stacking, Homework StressBusters, International Cuisine, Film Club,
Young Apprentice – why not give them a go?

As always, new ideas are always welcome so let your Tutor or Head of House know if there’s an activity you
would like to see included in the programme.

It’s great to see that so many of you are already involved in activities, some of you every day. We would
encourage you to attend at least two clubs a week. It is a fact that becoming actively involved in other areas of
school life will increase your achievement levels in lessons and, ultimately, your exam results.

Finally, on your behalf, I’d like thank staff for giving their time and expertise to provide these activities for you.

Please take time to read the booklet carefully with your tutor to decide which ones are best for you. The Heads
of House and I will be calling in to see the clubs in action and look forward to seeing you there.

Keep up the good work!

Mrs Bracha
