Singapore and EC Lend a Helping Hand
SINGAPORE and the European Commission (EC) recently
announced the launch of a new partnership to offer technical
assistance to Cambodia, Lao PDR and Vietnam. The Singapore-
EC trilateral cooperation programme is the EC’s first technical
assistance project with a South-east Asian country. The inaugural
joint training programme on Credit Skills in Retail Banking for
senior and middle managers will be held in Vientiane, Lao PDR,
in October 2004. Singapore is pleased to have the EC on board
as its 36th partner and looks forward to working with the EC to
assist Cambodia, Lao PDR and Vietnam in its human resource
development.
