Each year, we host two breakfasts—one for
elementary and one for middle school—before
the start of the WASL (now the MSP). It’s a
chance for our families to support, encourage,
and nourish our students as they prepare to
demonstrate their academic achievement.
MK‑8 piloted the Writers Workshop for K‑8
schools in Seattle. Our writers publish regularly
throughout the school year. In 2008, our 7th
grade students had the highest WASL writing
scores in the district.
Partnerships
Madrona K-8 is fortunate to have broad community support that helps our
students to excel in their endeavors. These services go hand-in-hand with
the educational needs of a child in order to provide a stable environment in
which to succeed. These partners are critical to our success and we thank
them for their dedication and contribution.
