    DATAMAX CORPORATION JOINS INTERMEC RFID RAPID START
                   LICENSING PROGRAM

ORLANDO, FL – September 8, 2005 – Datamax Corporation, a leader and worldwide supplier of
bar code labeling and RFID printing solutions, announced today that it has joined Intermec
Technologies Corp.’s Rapid Start RFID intellectual property licensing program. The Rapid Start
Licensing Program provides Datamax full access to Intermec’s insert, tag, and printer patented RFID
technology portfolios, allowing Datamax to manufacture products with the RFID capabilities and
functionality that today’s end-users require.
