            . Charitable Campaign to be conducted in accordance with all applicable state and

            To approve order approving an appointment to the Office of Constable, Precinct

18.   COURT ORDER:

            To approve order authorizing the transfer of funds, as outlined, to benefit the
            Departmental Discretionary Account (DDA) of Constable Don Ashlock, Precinct
            4, based on management initiatives that create a cost-savings to the taxpayer
            (commitment to hold a clerk position [#1427] vacant from April 1, 2000 to
            September 30, 2000).


19.   COURT ORDER:

            To approve order deleting two positions (Baker #6017 & Accounting Clerk
            #7748) and adding supervisory responsibilities to the job description of a service
            supervisor position (#6380) of the Dallas County Sheriff's Department and
            authorizing a classification study of the supervisory position by the Personnel/Civil
            Service Department.


20.   COURT ORDER:

            To approve order authorizing the award of Bid No. 2000-125-436 (Purchase of
            Mobile Radios) to Bearcom Operating, L.P. for the purchase of 150 MHZ Mobile
            Radios for the total amount of $83,700.00.


21.   COURT ORDER:

            To approve order approving the change in County policy language to require
            medical coverage for each full-time, regular employee as a condition of
            employment.


22.   COURT ORDER:

            To approve order approving the submission of the North Texas Auto Theft Task
            Force grant application to the Automobile Theft Prevention Authority for a total
            amount of $929,564.00, and authorizing the County Judge to sign all related
            documents.

23.   COURT ORDER:

            To approve order approving refunds to taxpayers, as listed, in amounts over
            $500.00 for erroneous or excessive tax payments.


24.   COURT ORDER:

            To approve order approving the updated policy of the Dallas County Upfront Cost
            Assistance Program.


25.   COURT ORDER:

            To approve order approving the acceptance of the Tobacco Prevention and
            Control award in the amount of $4,999.00 from the Texas Department of Health
            (TDH) Office of Tobacco Prevention and Control for the implementation of a 90-
            day law enforcement tobacco cessation program and authorizing the County
            Judge to sign a Letter of Acceptance and any other contract documents regarding
            the Tobacco Prevention program on behalf of Dallas County.


26.   COURT ORDER:

            To approve order approving the request of the Dallas County Juvenile Department
            to enter into a contract with the Lord's Ranch for residential child care services,
            and authorizing the County Judge to sign the contract documents on behalf of
            Dallas County.


27.   COURT ORDER:

            To approve order authorizing the final extension to current contract (RFP No. 98-
            054 - Request for Proposal for Third Party Claims Handling Services for Workers
            Compensation Insurance) with Cunningham Lindsey Claims Management, Inc. for
            an additional twelve (12) month period, effective May 1,2000 through April 30,
            2001, at an estimated cost of $125,000.00.


28.   COURT ORDER:

            To approve order amending Bid No. 2000-019-217 (Annual Contract for
            Extermination Services) as awarded to Lady Bugg Exterminating Services to
            include extermination services at the Farmers Branch Tax Office (2430 Valley
            View) effective July 1, 2000, at a monthly rate of $22.00 and authorizing all
            County documents/payments to reflect accordingly.

29.   COURT ORDER:

            To approve order authorizing Commissioner of District No.3 to cooperate with
            the City of Hutchins in improvements to Goode Road, from Wintergreen Road
            south 1800 feet, for a total estimated cost of $24,047.00, and authorizing the
            County Judge to execute the City/County Agreement for this Type "E" road work.


30.   COURT ORDER:

            To approve order authorizing the County Judge to execute a consulting engineers
            contract with Terra-Mar, in an amount not to exceed $67,470.00, for materials
            testing services in connection with the construction of the Miller Road Project 91-
            850.1.


31.   COURT ORDER:

            To approve order authorizing the County Judge to execute a Utility Relocation
            Contract with Brazos Electric Power Cooperative, Inc., in an amount not to
            exceed $12,000.00, for relocation of a wooden transmission power pole which
            is in conflict with roadway improvements proposed in connection with the
            Kleberg Road Project 490-428.


32.   COURT ORDER:

            To approve order authorizing the County Judge to execute Modification No.4, in
            the increased amount of $28,208.21, to the contract with Nathan D. Maier
            Consulting Engineers, Inc., for design services in connection with the O'Connor
            Boulevard Project 91-836.


33.   COURT ODER:

            To approve order declaring that Dallas County supports the recommendations of
            the SH 183/West Fork Corridor Major Investment Study and encourages the
            implementation of these recommendations.


34.   COURT ORDER:

            To approve order declaring that Dallas County supports the recommendations of
            the Loop 12/135E Major Investment Study and encourages the implementation of
            these recommendations.

            of Grand Prairie for "Force Account" work in connection with Congestion
            Mitigation/Air Quality (CMAQ) Intersection Improvement Program Project 71
            Phase S1 and Phase S2.


36.   COURT ORDER:

            To approve order authorizing the County Judge to execute the Texas Department
            of Transportation (TxDOT) "Agreement to Contribute Funds" in connection with
            the Beltline Road Project 91-565, authorizing the County Treasurer to remit
            payment to TxDOT in the amount of $276,250.00 as local sponsor share of the
            estimated costs of right of way and utility adjustments for that project and
            authorizing designated funds transfers for that purpose.
