Residence Hall Move In Procedures The residence halls will officially open for FIRST YEAR AND TRANSFER STUDENTS ONLY on Sunday, August 30, 2009. Like most schools, the university has limited permanent parking spaces available for cars. This limitation becomes even more significant at move-in time. In order to make the process as comfortable and convenient as possible for everyone, we are asking you to adhere to the Sunday move in time shown on your parking voucher that was included with your housing assignment. You will show this voucher to the parking attendant to receive an off-loading perking permit. You will have up to one hour to unload your vehicle before you will need to move it to a longer-term parking area. Please refer to the move in parking map for the locations of short-term off-loading parking and post off-loading parking spaces. Please follow the directions of the parking attendants who will assist you through this process. The hill between upper and lower campus will remain closed during this move-in period. Students who are moving into Putnam or Thomas Halls on lower campus are asked to follow Clairemont Avenue to State Street to Garfield Avenue when arriving on campus this fall. We look forward to your arrival on campus.
