							                                   Secret Library Friends



The door the castle library creaked open and around it peeked a penguin! I was

surprised! He said to me "Hi".

       I said "Who are you?"

       "I own this place," he said.

       "That's silly" I said.

       He said, "This is a penguin castle".

       "But I see books" I said. He told me that penguins write books for people.

       I said, "What?!"

       He said, "Be quiet otherwise people will hear me."

       I said, "Ok".

       I wondered how a penguin could run the library. He said, "I am the leader and

my friends help me". I wondered what his name was so I asked him. He said "My name

is Joe". Then he said, "What's your name?"

       I said, "My name is Layan. Can I be a helper too?"

       He said, "Sure thing! Why not?"

       I said, "That's great!" He said my job was to take some stories and read them and

tell him if they are good or bad. I said, "That's great" and gave a tiny jump. But then I

could not stay because it was late. Joe told me I could take the books home with my

ibrary card. I said "Goodbye Joe and Secret Library Friends". He said, "Goodbye to you

too and don't forget your job and to keep it a secret." I like my secret job with the

penguins. It is fun.                  The End.
