									                          Survey for Preparation of
               Database on Consortia Partners for NAIP Projects
The National Agricultural Innovation Project (NAIP) Components 2 and 3 emphasizes
research on production to consumption system and sustainable rural livelihood security,
respectively. These components will be implemented in consortia mode with participation
from research institutions in NARS, private sector (processing), export/ trade, NGOs
(voluntary organizations), farmers organisations etc.

As part of help desk activity for NAIP, NAARM is preparing a database of potential partners
from various sectors. NARS institutions may provide information on about five such
potential institutions in each category, who may collaborate with SAUs / ICAR institutions,
in the format given below. This information is needed for preparing database and it will not
restrict selection of any other organization while preparing the actual proposals.

While filling the questionnaire in the format given below, the following guideline may be
followed in selection of consortia partners.

Guidelines:

 If the organization (private sector or NGO) works in more than one discipline and broad
area, select the most important from the list given below.

Criteria for Selection of NGO under NAIP
   Should be non-political, non-profit making, secular and reputed organization
   Should be having a proven track record of satisfied beneficiaries on similar assignments
    (at least two years of experience in works of this type)
   It should be registered as a society or have other corporate status and in existence for
    about five years
   Management of organization by selected/nominated/elected non-Officials on the
    Governing/Executive Committee
   Engaged in Agricultural/Rural Development work
   It should have facilities to maintain separately records for accounting and auditing of
    funds and capable of providing audit certificates for last three years
   It should not have been blacklisted by Central or any State Governments or related bodies
    like CAPART.

Give details of at least five organizations each from Private/ Trade/ Farmers organizations / NGOs in
the below given format. Choices for items at Nos. 3 and 4 may be taken from the guidelines given
above.
