Registration Fee & Transfers: A registration fee of NZ$160 is payable when you enrol for any course of study through AIC. This is a once-only payment. You may
transfer between English courses (AELA) and Aoraki Polytechnic courses without payment of transfer fees. The transfer must be approved by Aoraki Polytechnic and
AIC. Your tuition fees may not be transferred to another person.

Payment of Fees and Fees Protection: All fees must be paid in advance of a course commencing. You may pay your fees by bank draft by posting to the address
listed above. If you pay by telegraphic transfer please let AIC know when the fees are going to be paid into our bank account. Aoraki International Limited’s Trust
Bank Account is: National Bank of New Zealand, 15 Church St; Timaru 7910, New Zealand; Account No: 06 0889 0186072 00 (Swift Code: ANZBNZ22)

Resource Fees: These are for Aoraki Polytechnic (AP) course extras such as student levy, field trips, travel/accommodation, clothing, equipment, stationery, tools and
other specific non-tuition parts of a course. These vary from course to course. These are compulsory fees to be paid with tuition fees and are transferred to the AP
department concerned. The figure is as accurate, as can be determined at the time of course commencement. There may be text books to purchase over and above this.

Cancellations & Refunds:
Refund Policy for International students at Aoraki International College and Aoraki Polytechnic from 1 January 2006 -

Where a foreign student, having paid fees and been accepted on a course, withdraws from such a course and where such a course is of less than three months
duration, then the following refund entitlement will apply:-
      • If the course is for four weeks and six days (34 days) or less and the student cancels by 5.00pm on the second day of that course then 50% of the full
amount of any payments made by the student to Aoraki International College in respect of the course will be refunded to the student.
      • If the course is for 5-or-more weeks but less than 13-weeks and the student cancels by 5.00pm on the 5 th day after course commences, the student will be
paid 75% of the full amount of any payments made in respect of the course.
Where a student is enrolled on a course of 13 weeks or more and cancels before 5.00pm on the second Monday of that course (that is, seven days after the first day
of the course) then the following refund entitlement will apply
      • Aoraki International College and Aoraki Polytechnic will refund all tuition fees, unused accommodation fees and living expenses, except for 10% of the
total tuition fee or $500, which-ever is the lesser.
Students who have paid fees but withdraw before the course commences will also be subject to the above criteria. That is, they will be entitled to a refund less any
amounts allowed to be retained by Aoraki International College.

A student who has paid fees; then been refused a visa by NZIS before entering NZ, will be refunded all monies except 5% tuition fee & the Registration fee.

Attendance & Behaviour: You will be expected to attend classes punctually, and to behave in a responsible manner in AIC’s Aoraki English Language Academy
(AELA), and at Aoraki Polytechnic. Responsible behaviour is also expected in your accommodation and in our community. If your behaviour is detrimental to the
reputation of AIC and/or Aoraki Polytechnic, or to other students, you may be suspended or asked to leave the Institutions. In this event, we regret that no tuition fees
can be refunded.

Accommodation: There is a once-only payment of NZ$130 (accommodation finding fee) for the arrangement of homestay or hostel accommodation. The weekly
homestay fee of $185 pays for your full accommodation with access to a packed lunch during weekdays when studying. The weekly hostel fee is $100. We must
receive at least two-week’s notice of your intention to leave your homestay/hostel. If you go on holiday and wish to return to the hostel or the same host-family, a
booking fee must be paid (NZ$42 per week for hostel and NZ$56 per week for homestay). Please advise any special accommodation, or diet, needs. We will try our
best to match you with a suitable accommodation. AIC can provide indications of costs and options for Flats. It is recommended that an individual student goes to the
hostel or homestay before Flatting.

Medical and Travel Insurance:
At AIC – and on behalf of Aoraki Polytechnic - we take every care to ensure your well-being. However, AIC will not be liable for any loss, damage or injury incurred
within the school, hostel, with a homestay family or on a course-related tour or excursion. In starting a course of study through AIC at Aoraki Polytechnic or AELA,
you will be deemed to have accepted AIC’s and Aoraki Polytechnic’s Enrolment Conditions. It is compulsory, by NZ Law, for International students to have
appropriate and current medical and travel insurance while studying in New Zealand. AIC recommends Uni-care and general costs can be found on our Fees list.
Students who want to use a home-based insurance must provide a copy, in English, of the sections of their policy regarding currency of the policy and benefits. A
student without appropriate insurance cover for eventualities involving medical/travel/repatriation and evacuation will be asked to accept AIC’s default policy with
Uni-care Insurance (more information can be found at: www.uni-care.org.) A student will be unable to commence studies until these conditions are met. Further
details on this important requirement can be found on www.aoraki-international.co.nz

Eligibility for Health Services: Most international students are not entitled to publicly funded health services while in New Zealand. If you receive medical treatment
during your visit, you may be liable for the full costs of that treatment. We strongly recommend that you have insurance that will cover the cost of medical treatment in
New Zealand for the duration of your stay in New Zealand and also that you obtain insurance to cover your travel to and from New Zealand. Full details on
entitlements to publicly funded health services are available through the Ministry of Health, and can be viewed on their website at www.moh.govt.nz
Accident Insurance: The Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC) provides accident insurance for all New Zealand citizens, residents and temporary visitors to
New Zealand, but you may still be liable for all other medical and related costs. Further information can be viewed at the ACC website at: www.acc.co.nz

Liability: Aoraki International College and Aoraki Polytechnic shall not be liable if, for any reason, the published courses cannot be offered. The offering of all
programmes is subject to sufficient enrolments and they reserve the right to change courses and fees without prior notice.

Code: Aoraki International College and Aoraki Polytechnic have agreed to observe and be bound by the Code of Practice for the Pastoral Care of International Students
published by the Minister of Education. Copies of the Code are available on request from this institution or from the New Zealand Ministry of Education website at
www.minedu.govt.nz/goto/international
Immigration: Full details of visa and permit requirements, advice on rights to employment in New Zealand while studying, and reporting requirements are available
through the New Zealand Immigration Service, and can be viewed on their website at www.immigration.govt.nz
