Arc Theatre presents The Tumble Village Story
participatory storytelling sessions for Key Stage 1

Tumble Village was a thriving little place with lots of different people busy living their
lives. But on the very outskirts of the village, at the top of the hill, there was a huge
house and in that house there lived a Giant…

The Tumble Village Story is an interactive storytelling performance and workshop that
explores what happens when people can’t get along and they stop talking to each-other about
how they are feeling.

This creative session allows participants to explore issues of difference, friendship and
bullying, as well as emotions and feelings. The children are also creatively involved as they
use their imaginations and problem-solving skills to help create a happy end for the story.
Created and delivered by a professional storyteller and actor from Arc, The Tumble Village
Story is a participative workshop for infant schools, which allows children to actively focus on
the dynamic of relationships along with their understanding of what bullying is.
