      In this activity we will be visiting web sites for the Royal Family of
      Spain.

Pre-reading

   1. En una hoja de papel escribe sus ideas sobre tu familia con todos los

D. Do a google search on the member of the royal family you just read about;
print out a Picture, only a Picture, there should be no written words
anywhere on the page and then; Contesta las siguientes preguntas, on the
same page as the photo you just printed.

   2. Describe esa persona ¿Cómo es físicamente?
   3. En una o dos oraciones dinos lo que sabes o aprendiste sobre esa
      persona.

E. En tu grupo comparte la información que aprendiste sobre esa persona.
Tus compañeros tienen que tomar apuntes.

F. En tu grupo escribe cinco preguntas y respuestas sobre la información que
tienes (sobre la Familia Real).

La Tarea – Pick one and complete on Looseleaf.

   1. An evening at the Palace: Have students imagine that they spent an
      evening at the Palace, with the Royal Family. Have them describe what
      they did, what the Royal Family wore, how they acted, describe the
      dinner, etc.
   2. Diary entry retelling their experiences of sharing an evening with the
      royal family
3. Talk show (hot seat): Have students write questions, to ask the Royal
   Family.
4. Letter to character: Have students write a letter to The Royal Family
   to thank them for their hospitality.

Pacing: 43 minutes

1. Warm-up/Assess (8 minutes)
    Prayer
    Log into computers
    Mini Q&A with students

   Anticipatory set: Think about the Presidential family of the United
   States. Can you think of any adjectives to describe them? ¿Cómo es la
   familia de George W. Bush?

   2. Present/Practice ( 31 minutes)

Procedure
1. Ask students to brainstorm and make a list of all the adjectives they
would use to describe their families.

2. Have students share information with their partner.

3. Have students look at a picture of the royal family and do a quick-write on
the picture (download picture from internet).

4. Have students share information with their partners.

5. Have students log on to the following site;
http://www.casareal.es/esp/familia/index.html#top

6. Have students choose one person, click on that person and read the
information.

7. During the reading have students look for the following information:

             adjectives
             words associated with the family
             words associated with education
             Words associated with hobbies

8. Have students answer questions about the reading (see students’
handouts)

9. Have students share information on the person they read about with their
partner

   Wrap-up/ Homework (4 minutes)

Log off computers.

Homework- Pick one assignment only
