									Job Description

Business Development Executive

Blockdot, a leading developer of online games, is currently seeking an experienced sales and account
services professional responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships between Blockdot and
clients. The position is responsible for initial identification, introduction, investigation, qualification,
positioning, presentations, and close of new business and collaborates closely with client services team
to maximize revenue opportunity of business on an ongoing basis. This position is located in Dallas,
Texas and requires some travel (5%-15%). This position pays a base plus commission.

The right candidate for this position is a creative thinker motivated by results based compensation
program who thrives in a fast-paced environment, embraces a non-traditional approach to marketing and
is experienced in selling intangible solutions.

    • Experienced sales professional capable of completing the full sales cycle for every project.
    •    A solid understanding of the opportunities for marketing in the Internet and online game
    • Strong research and analytical skills, including market strategy, customer requirements and
        success factors, and a value based selling process (experienced in an ROI approach)
    • Excellent written, verbal communication skills, creation of convincing and strategic sales
        approach, proposals, documentation and presentations.
    • Advanced negotiation, contract and business proposal (statement of work) writing skills.
    • Proven hands-on experience with senior executives in medium to large business and
        advertising/marketing agencies
    •    Motivation to succeed. This role requires a motivated professional to work independently to
        identify and pursue new opportunities and fully develop client relationships.
    •    A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent preferred
    • Interest and knowledge of the Internet game industry is a huge plus

Job Skills
Working knowledge of online tools, processes and systems recommended. Marketing and/or advertising
background with existing contacts with clients and agencies preferred. Strong research and analytical
skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Presentation skills using traditional and
interactive presentation tools. Effective meeting facilitation skills. The ability to independently create,
execute and present client proposals. Strategic, value-based, relationship sales skills. Large account
management and advanced negotiation skills. The candidate should have at least 4 years experience in
solutions selling to senior-level executives within Fortune 1000 companies.
