       System-wide intelligent transit system applications to enhance
       customer experience and service, i.e., real time integrated passenger
1-14   information systems, Wi-Fi, smart fare technology, communications
       upgrades, automated train tracking, etc.
       Extend light rail from the Meadowview Station further south to
       Cosumnes River College (CRC). This project would add
12     approximately 4.2 miles of track, 4 new stations, and 3 park & ride
       facilities (two parking lots and one parking garage).
       Add a turnout to the east end of the tail track at the Sunrise
 8     interlocking. This would turn the tail track into a siding providing two
       ways for trains to enter and exit the siding.

1-14   Design, procure, and install SCADA equipment into traction power
       substations to control and monitor traction power distribution systems.

       Design and construct an elevated pedestrian crossing at the current
7, 8   Swanston Light Rail Station. The project scope includes a major
       pedestrian crossing structure, bus pads, shelters, and signage lighting.
       Procure and install fleet maintenance management software for RT’s
1-14   fleet of buses, light rail vehicles, fare vending machines, and non
       revenue vehicles.
       Continue coordination efforts with local jurisdictions and developers to
1-14   design and implement transit oriented development throughout the
       District.
       Make improvements to the Folsom line Traction Power (TPS) system
1-14   that will improve service availability during peak service on the Folsom
       corridor and improved contingency operation.

       Support Maintenance and Operations by providing the ability to
1-14   communicate with moving in service light rail vehicles using high end
       Wi-Fi technology. Scope includes purchasing and installing hardware.
       (Homeland Security are proposed revenue sources deeme
1-14   Update the RT Transit Master Plan.
       Purchase 90 Paratransit replacement vehicles and communication
       equipment as needed to be used by Paratransit, Inc. to provide
1-14   complementary ADA paratransit service on behalf of RT. Funds to
       purchase 40 vehicles were programmed in the 2005 MTIP
       (REG17781)
       Purchase 14 Neighborhood Ride Vehicles to replace vehicles which
       have surpassed their useful lives. 17 are needed, but 3 will be funded
1-14   from an alternate source. RT assumes $110,000 per vehicle and a 5
       year life. (Emissions reduced: 4 kg/day NOx)
       Upgrade rail interlocking status and control functions to provide
1-14   modem connection to Central Train Tracking/Operations Central
       Control.
       Retrofitting the 21 UTDC light rail vehicles to add the following: -
1-14   Automatic audio and text train announcements. - CCTV surveillance
