Thikwa is an extremely unique project that trains a cast of physically and mentally challenged adults to perform experimental theater works. I was selected through the Berlin Arts Council to produce an original sound score for Fahr furukt nahct dia Directed by Eunice Maurice in 2004. The score was produced by the actors’ actions using floor mics, wireless audio "bugs" and "D-beams" (infer- red sensors). The Ransom Corp http://ransomcorp.org Multi Media experimental performance group based in Brooklyn, NY 1998 – 2002, Founded by Geoffrey and Aaron Taylor Kuffner, Directed by Aaron Taylor Kuffner and Kathi von Koerber. The Ransom Corp. creating abstract rituals by fusing dance, performance art, and aerial acrobatics with video projections, installation art and inventive original interactive audio. The Ransom Corp. created unique and intense site-specific gatherings. These gatherings were training grounds meant to infuse and invigorate their fellow species by expanding visions for the future, through imperative-detailed views of the present, with the wisdom of the past. Large-Scale Productions included: The Fractle Seed, Schloss Brollin and Resonant Wave Festival Berlin 2002, Sky Plots, La Mama ETC NYC 1999, Central European Tour 2000, Emergence, Smack Mellon Studios Brooklyn 1999. 23 Windows 23 Windows was a 3,000 square foot loft space used as a community art studio and underground performance venue in Bushwick Brooklyn 2001 – 2003. I was the co-founder and director of the space. I organized resident artists, events and collaborative projects. 23 windows still exists as Amoeba Technologies headquarters and shared studio space for 8 artists (Zemi17 included). The Resonant Wave http://resonant-wave.net This was a 2 week multi-media Festival of Experimental Art, Culture and Advancement held in Berlin at Kultur Im Spannwerk Art House in 2002. I was co-organizer and international curator for the event, which brought 68 artists of diverse mediums to Berlin to explore the concepts of waves and serve as a nexus point for a community of international innovators. Attendants included: Yumiko Yokomoshi, Ten Pen Chii Arts Labor, Baastian Maris, Arik Katsav, Thomas Friedlander, and The Madagascar Institute. Collaborations: Amoeba Technology http://amoebatechnology.net A Brooklyn collective of experimental audio, video and installation arts devoted to transcendence and alteration of ordinary reality and consciousness through the manipulation of sound and light waves. I have performed on digital sampler as well as acoustic instruments with them for live performances throughout NYC and a tour to France in 2003. Indonesian Groups Sangar Saraswati (Center for Balinese Art, Cultural and Spiritual Practices) I played in the gangsa kantil section for the Gong Kebyar ensemble for religious and secular events Yogyakarta, 2005 Yayasan Polas Seni, (Organization for the preservation of pure Balinese Arts) I played nyong nyong cinikan for the Gamelan Slonding group religious ceremonies and rituals Pengosecan Bali 2006 Taliwangsa Musik Ethnis, (Pan-Enthnic Indonesian Music Group) I throat sang and played flute with a multi ethnic Indonesian group at the Garuda 5 star Hotel, SMKI High School for performing Arts, and Yogya National TV.
