ROYAL SIGNALS RUGBY FOOTBALL CLUB VERSUS THE INFANTRY RUGBY FOOTBALL
CLUB 18 – 20 JAN 10

1. General. The Royal Signals Rugby team will play the Infantry at Bramcote Barracks, in the
fourth game of the Corps Championships on Wednesday 20 th January 2010.

2. Squad Selection. The Royal Signals squad continues to evolve over the season. It is the
President, Brigadier Phil Davies’ wish that this squad are given the full backing of their chain of
command throughout the season in order to give them the best opportunity to achieve their
potential and develop a strong and cohesive squad ethos. The full squad list can be found at
Annex A.

3. Reporting. All members of the Royal Signals Rugby Squad, including coaching and
management staff are to report to the Gymnasium in Gamecock Barracks, Bramcote at 1030hrs on
Monday 18th January 2010. Rugby Officers are requested to distribute this letter to their respective
players listed at Annex A. Players will be released back to units on the evening of W ednesday 20th
January 2010.

4. Availability. Units are requested to inform the Corps Rugby Union Secretary, Capt Ian
Burgess of their player availability by fax or email (22SR-217-2IC) before 1200hrs Monday 11th
January 2010 using Annex B. Players selected are believed NOT to be on operational duty and
the President requests COs/OCs to release players for this important fixture. Reasons for non
availability are to be highlighted on the return.

5. Travel. The use of the Representational Sport Travel Vote is authorised, through your UIN,
quoting Local Project Code (LPC) ZZP1E1 1403 and Resource Account Code (RAC) PDA002.
This will ensure the costs are attributed to AG TLB. For contract bookings, e.g. civilian flights/hire
cars, use the unit UIN, Purpose of Travel Code (POT) 16 and RAC PDA002.

6. Individual Requirement. Players are to ensure that they confirm their availability with the
Secretary or Manager before 1200hrs Monday 11th January 2010. Players unable to get
released or whose availability status changes are to bring this to the attention of either the
Secretary or Director of Royal Signals Rugby Union immediately. Due to service limitations,
players from the same unit or area are to organise to travel in the same vehicle. Accommodation
is available Bramcote Barracks from Sunday 17th January 2010 if required. Players are reminded
to bring smart civilian dress, including a Corps polo shirt, along with all Corps training kit.

7. Summary. Despite a testing season the Corps side has put in some encouraging
performances of late and the wholehearted support and backing of units is integral to its present
                                                    1
and future success. I would encourage anyone that can to come and support the team at
Bramcote to cheer on their Corps, kick off is 1400hrs.
