To all returning MSc Public Health half-time students 2009-2010

  Dear Student,

We look forward to seeing you in September for your 2nd year of study on the MSc
Public Health Course. This letter outlines various practical arrangements for your
return. If, after reading this letter, you have any questions please contact your tutor or
  Course Director.

When you return in September, you will be registered for the same stream as in your
first year. During the next academic year you will need to complete all the compulsory
teaching modules. You will also need to set aside time for your summer project,
especially if you chose not to submit a protocol during the 2008-2009 session.

The Orientation period for the 2009-2010 academic year is for one week and will
commence on Monday 28th September. You are welcome to attend as much of
Orientation as you wish. A provisional timetable of the Orientation Programme is
enclosed and you are recommended to attend your tutor group sessions during the
week. Formal teaching sessions will commence on Monday 5th October, with a
reading week mid-way through Term 1; the term will end on December 18th.

Should you not be able to return in September as planned, please let us know as soon
as possible. If you need any assistance or information before term starts, please get in
touch with your Course Director or Course Administrator.

We look forward to seeing you at the beginning of term and hope you enjoy your
second year of studies at the LSHTM.

  Yours sincerely

Jeni Gosling, Helen Hogan, Kiran Nanchahal, Sotiris Vardoulakis
