Job: Assistant Workshop Leader (voluntary)
Reporting to: Lead Art Facilitator



PURPOSE:

The purpose of this role is to assist primarily at the Create @ Tate event, a public
workshop which will be held at the Tate Modern on Thursday 13th May.
In order to achieve this you will be required to participate in 1 training day in March
and a practise workshop at the N1 Centre, Islington on Saturday 10th April.

Key dates you will need to be available for:

Interview date: Tuesday 2nd March
Training dates – either Thursday 11th or 18th March
Practise workshop session: Saturday 10th April
Tate Modern Workshop: Thursday 13th May



PERSON SPECIFICATION:

      Interest in working with the public (children and adults)(
      Interest in developing workshop leading skills
      Interest in art
      Enthusiastic and reliable
      Good communication and personal interaction skills
      Ability to use own initiative and work at times under pressure
      Comfortable with being identified as a mental health service user




KEY DUTIES:

      To attend relevant training sessions and practise workshop
      To assist workshop participants in the completion of the workshop task
       according to the planned theme/activity
      To undertake other duties required during the operation of the workshop ie
       clearing up, assisting participants complete tasks, giving out information and
       manning the door, etc
      To assist with the preparation of materials for use at the start of planned
       workshop
      To help clear up at the end of the workshop
      To assist in the distribution of promotional material and literature prior to and
       during the event
      To help ensure health and safety requirements are met at all times during
       the workshop
      To represent Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust in a positive
       manner
