SCHOOL OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION at Portland State University
Listed below are some suggestions for ways to prepare for the GMAT. The SBA does not recommend a particular GMAT preparation method, book or company. If you are self-directed, you may prefer to purchase a GMAT Test Preparation book; look for one that has a CD ROM with practice tests. Most applicants would benefit from at least one month of concentrated study. 1) Visit the official GMAT website at www.mba.com. Complete information about the test, appointments and preparation (strategies, mini test, software). Visit the Kaplan website at www.kaptest.com for times and locations of their preparation courses. For Power Score Test Preparation classes in Portland, go to http://www.powerscore.com/ to see the schedule. Contact your local university or community college to see if they offer GMAT preparation courses. (Portland State University does not offer a GMAT preparation course.) Search online for Princeton Review, Barrons, Peterson’s to see their study guides. You also may find others that are not listed here. Search your local bookstores and libraries for books and CD ROMs.
