Fire Procedure and Emergency Evacuation 1. IF YOU DISCOVER A FIRE, BREAK THE GLASS OF THE NEAREST FIRE ALARM. 2. Fire alarm The buildings are fitted with an alarm system. This means that a full continuous alarm will sound only in the area where the alarm has been pressed. For the purpose of the alarm the site is divided into areas: Fisher Hall Sports Hall/Gym/Swimming pool/Fitness Suite Pavilion Middle school Lower school When the alarm is sounding the procedure is as follows: If the full continuous alarm sounds please evacuate the building immediately by the nearest exit and proceed to the designated assembly point. 3. Extinguishers These are placed throughout the buildings but are for first stage fire fighting only. Duty staff may use these at their own discretion, but should bear in mind that the main task is to ensure that the building is completely evacuated. The fire service will pt out the fire. 4. Evacuation and assembly points Please ensure you are familiar with the plan provided and that you know the whereabouts of the assembly points for each building. Customers and staff should only re-enter the building when the fire service has declared the area safe.
