Meeting
   I. Approval of minutes – Anita Reno

Tabled for the next meeting due to lack of quorum.

II. Information Services – Jill Jahn from Information Services

The areas that are currently non-wireless accessible are Graves, Mary Moody, and the
outside Plaza area. IS are looking into providing wireless access at these locations in the
future pending fund availability. The wireless set up instructions and list of accessible
areas are available at www.intranet.utmb.com/wireless. Currently there is no connection
instruction for PDA because there are so many PDA versions in the market.

“utmbi” is hidden on the UTMB website for security purpose and also to prevent guest
from accessing a nonworking wireless system.

New UTMB students are supposed to receive information on the wireless system during
orientation and improved, brief, printed information for their packets would be helpful.
IS will send the instructions on wireless connection to Anita Reno and she will then
forward that to all the senators, which will further be forwarded to the appropriate classes.

III. SGA Satisfaction Survey – Jodean Schmiederer

The Survey will be sent out to the student body on March 10th. Senators are asked to
encourage students to respond and write specific comments, either positive or negative, on
campus issues. The prize has changed to a $300 Visa gift card instead of a gift certificate
to Wal-Mart. Everyone who fills out the survey still receives a free cookie coupon.

IV. Blood Bowl – Danny Do and Brittany Potter (neither were present to discuss this topic)

The slogan will be “Good to the Last Drop” and it will be printed on the coffee tumbler to
be given to donors. Sample coffee tumblers have been ordered and are on their way.

V. Town Hall Meeting – Dr. Stobo

We listened to part of Dr. Stobo’s meeting. Dr. Stobo mentioned that UTMB is
experiencing a financial problem that allows us to only cover 60% of our depreciation
values. Therefore, UTMB is hiring a financial group called “Navigant Consulting” to
review current activities and structures, then make recommendations for change. The
group will visit UTMB mid April and it will evaluate the system/campus in 10 consecutive
weeks. After this period they will devise a plan to help us meet our goals.

VI. Next Meeting: Tuesday, March 21, 2006
