									           Erasmus incoming students 2009/2010
                               Basic Information

Erasmus students have to be nominated by their home university. There has to be a
bilateral agreement between the University of Warsaw and the student’s home
university under the LLP Erasmus

Please note that every faculty/unit of the University of Warsaw considers the
applications case by case and decides whether to accept the student based on
his/her application documents.

     1. On-line Application Form
Filling out the on-line Application Form http://admission.uw.edu.pl is obligatory. Please
use Latin characters only.
In the Personal information section please make sure that you provide the correct
Permanent Address in the required format as it will appear on your UW Electronic
Student Card.
In case of questions or technical problems please contact Ms Klementyna Kielak

If you are using a hotmail email account please check your spam box/junk box as
the registration confirmation email might go there due to some technical problems.

    2. Necessary Documents
The application form should be printed and signed by the student and the Erasmus
Coordinator of the home university.
The following documents should be attached and sent to the International Relations
Office of the University of Warsaw by post:
Transcript of Records – from studies so far or the last achieved diploma
Language Certificate – proving the knowledge of the language in which you wish to
study at the University of Warsaw
In case the students does not have any internationally recognized language certificate the
following form can be used:

Health Certificate – proving that you are fit to study at the UW.

Electronic Photo – Every Erasmus student will be issued an Electronic Student ID
and therefore you are asked to provide us with an electronic version of your
photo. You can send it on a CD along with your application documents or by email
to marta.szugajew@adm.uw.edu.pl or klementyna.kielak@adm.uw.edu.pl .

    Application Deadlines
·    Full academic year or first semester (starting October 1st, 2009) – May 15th, 2009
·    Second semester (starting February 16th, 2010) – November 15th, 2009
    Applications submitted after the deadlines will not be considered!

    Language Requirements
    Erasmus incoming students must be fluent users of English and/or Polish. It is
    absolutely essential that the student is able to read, write, speak and understand
    English and/or Polish in order to fully and successfully participate in all the courses
    offered.

    Accommodation
    The University of Warsaw has only a limited number of places in student houses
    available for Erasmus students. Places in student houses will be assigned based on
    the order of receiving the Application Documents. The International Relations Office
    will do its best to help students who will not get accommodation to find places in
    student flats.

    Learning Agreement
    Every incoming Erasmus student must provide the University of Warsaw with his/her
    Learning Agreement, which has to be signed by the Erasmus coordinator of the
    home university. It is possible to make changes to the Learning Agreement after the
    start of the semester.

    Polish Language Course organized by UW
    Every Erasmus student is entitled to one Polish Language Course free of charge per
    semester.
    Erasmus students at the University of Warsaw can participate in a two week Polish
    Language Course (September 14th – 25th, 2009). Detailed information regarding that
    course will be attached to the Confirmation of Acceptance.

    Welcome Guide
    You will be provided with a Welcome Guide and maps after receiving the
    Confirmation of Acceptance.


    Erasmus Student Network University of Warsaw (ESN UW)
ESN is a student organization that supports student mobility. It works to improve the
social and practical integration of exchange students. It offers a Mentor and
Tandem programmes, organized trips, parties and events for international and local
