                                    GUIDELINES for AWARDS PRESENTATION and CLOSING CEREMONY
The Awards Ceremony is an emotional highlight of the FISU World University Beach Volleyball Championships and marks the end of the
competition. The Awards and Closing ceremony should:
   Be organized in accordance with the FISU Regulations
   Include a detailed chronological plan of the movements and activities of each person involved from the end of the final match, to the
    Awards Ceremony, and continue until the end of the ceremony
   Be presented well in advance by the host Organizing Committee to the Chair of the International Supervision, Control and Arbitration
    Committee (CISCA) and FISU Technical Chairman.
1. Materials
   The following materials will be required:
        An Awards Ceremony production plan which is prepared in advance and approved by CISCA and the FISU Technical Chairman
        One (1) backdrop with recognition of International University Sports Federation (FISU); National University Sports Federation; city,
         provincial/state, regional, and/or national jurisdiction; and commercial affialiates
        A raised platform with microphones connected to a public speaker system
        Three (3) award podiums
             1st place: at the center; 1.50m long + 0.6m wide + 0.70m high
             2nd place: to left of center podium; 1.50m long + 0.6m wide + 0.55m high
             3rd place: to right of center podium; 1.50m long + 0.6m wide + 0.40m high
        Two carpets (preferably in one of the five base FISU colors)
             One 3m X 18m leading to the podiums
             One 5m X 2m
        Three (3) flag poles:
             minimum 8 m high
             outside competition area … should be different from ones used for FISU flag; country flag
        Three (3) flag poles and flags: FISU; host nation; and local city or province/state
             minimum 8 m high
             outside competition area
             on left side of main center court, preferably midway
        Medals
             Complete set of twelve (12): 2 gold, 2 silver, 2 bronze for women; 2 gold, 2 silver, 2 bronze for men
             One table (2m X 2m) to display the trophies and/or medals
             Three (3) cushions to carry and present the medals
        Uniforms for all Awards Ceremony participants (hostesses; medal carriers)
        A set of two (2) clean athlete playing shirts (tank tops or tops) for three (3) teams of each gender
        Wireless microphone(s) for on-court announcements and interviews
        Name boards (0.70m X 0.30m) with name of country (minimum 2cm wide and 10cm high) for each of the winning teams
        Rope and poles to cordon off the photographer's area.
        Appropriate music recordings
             FISU anthem
             Fanfare
2. Personnel
   The following Personnel should participate in the organization and operation of the Awards Ceremony:
        One Chief of Protocol (CP) responsible for planning and conducting the Awards and Closing Ceremony
        Two Assistant Chief of Protocol (Asst. CP)
        All participating teams, coaches, referees
        Experienced Master of Ceremony (MC)
             Perfect command of English and language of host country
        Disc Jockey
        One Assistant Chief of Protocol (CP) who can guide and coordinate the medal bearing hostesses.
        One (1) name board carrier for each non-medallist country.
        One (1) name board carrier for each medallist team (6).
        Six (6) hostesses to carry the cushions with the medals and hand them over to presentors
        Ball retrievers and lines persons lining up for a cordon
        Volunteers setting up podium, backdrop, table for medals and gifts, etc.
        Security people to ensure that spectators, photographers stay within their restricted area.
3. Rehearsal
   The Personnel (Master of Ceremonies, CISCA President) must perform a full rehearsal the day preceding the Awards and Closing Ceremony
   to ensure that the program is run according to the plan. Music must be prepared in advance and hoisting of the flags must be rehearsed.
4. Athletes
   Organizers should inform all participating teams (medallist and non-medallist), coaches, referees about their role the day before the finals.
5. Ceremony
The Awards and Closing Ceremony takes place on the Main Center court immediately after the last whistle of the final match.
