EMP Paediatric First Aid

Overview
This is a two day course which covers the essential skills for performing basic first aid to
babies, children and adults.

Audience
To support anyone wanting to work with babies and young children or who is already
working with babies and young children (parents, childminders, nursery workers).

Course content and learning outcomes
The course covers the crucial skills for administering basic first aid training as well as
additional illnesses such as epilepsy, diabetes, anaphylactic shock and asthma.

This course links into NVQ's in Early Years Childcare and Education and meets with the
requirements set by Ofsted, EYDCP's and the NCMA. It also meets the requirements
stipulated by the HSE for the 'Appointed Person in the Workplace' Qualification.
