How do I play MKV files with the ScreenPlay Pro HD? MKV files can be encoded with either an MPEG-4 codec or an H264 (high definition) codec. If the MKV file is encoded with MPEG-4, it will play back natively on the ScreenPlay Pro HD. If the MKV was encoded with H264, you need to use the streaming transcode software included with the ScreenPlay Pro HD in order to play the file. Follow the instructions below: 1. If you have not already done so, create a shared folder on your computer and copy the MKV file to it. 2. Install the Transcode Server software from the Solutions CD that shipped with your ScreenPlay Pro HD. 3. Launch the software by clicking on Start → Programs → Transcode Server 4. Click on the tab for NetShare Dialog. 5. Select the shared folder that contains the MKV file you want to play. 6. Connect the ScreenPlay Pro HD to your TV. 7. Turn on your TV and change the input setting as needed to receive input from the ScreenPlay Pro HD. 8. Activate the ScreenPlay Pro HD by pressing the STANDBY button on either the remote control or the front panel. 9. Select Network from the ScreenPlay Pro HD TV menu. 10. Navigate to the shared folder that contains the file you want to play. 11. Select the file and press PLAY. NOTE: There might be a delay while the Transcode Server software interprets the codec. In this case, you will see a message indicating that the file is not supported. Wait a few minutes and try to play the file again.
