ATTENTION FARMERS/GROWERS AND PRODUCERS
VETERANS FARMERS MARKET
Kingston’s eastern district has a very high density population area and a true Farmers Market should do exceptionally well
here. The Army, Navy and Air Force Veterans in Canada, Martello Unit 377 in Kingston, will hold a Farmers Market
commencing May 2010.
The following is the pertinent details:
WHERE – 317 Gore Rd, turn onto Gore Rd east from Hwy 15 go to the white water tower, approximately ¾ of
KM;
DATES -- 7 May - 29 October 2010 inclusive; (approximate dates every year)
TIMINGS – 12 PM to 6 PM on Fridays; set up would take place between 11 PM and 12 PM with the Market officially starting at
12 PM;
RATES -- $20.00 for a 10 X 24 stall. There will be a special rate until the end of June which is, $15.00 per stall. Once
established there will be seasonal rates offered at a more attractive price and Vendors can select their location on a first
come first served basis and will be assured of the same location each week. The fees will be collected by ANAFVETS Unit
377 member;
HYDRO HOOK UP -- There will be a limited availability for Hydro for meat producers and producers that require Hydro under
the health regulations. There will be a $5 daily fee per day and Vendors are to have a long extension cord with them;
WASHROOMS – Are available in the Club, and
FOOD – The Unit will have full lunch, and Bar facilities available at a reasonable cost and a BBQ will be available for the sale
of Hamburgers, Hot Dogs etc on the Market site.
WHO CAN APPLY -- ONLY FARMERS, GROWERS AND PRODUCERS WHO SELL 80% OF WHAT THEY GROW/PRODUCE
AND THE REMAINING 20% MUST BE LOCAL OR ONTARIO PRODUCED.
CRAFTERS – Are invited to apply only if they produce what they sell.
