Dear Editors:

Good day!

 I, Mary Bernadette Egloso, together with my co-author Janine Erica Dayao, am
writing to express our interest and enthusiasm for the opportunity to be published in
your scientific journal, the Mycological Research. I will be the corresponding author
for our study, which was only submitted previously as an undergraduate thesis. It has
not been published in any journal, may it be national or international.

 It is indeed one of our life aspirations to see the fruits of our hard work in our last
year in college to be recognized by a well established mycological institution such as
yours. The proponents deem the importance of this study to be further critiqued by
other scientists around the world, to contribute our share in the worldwide fight
against pollution and global warming.

Here enclosed is our study entitled, "The Potential Biodegrading Ability of Xylaria
Species on Natural Rubber, Chicken Feather, and Polystyrene through Scanning
Electron Microscopy (SEM)".
