Woolaston Primary School Friday Fortnightly. Number 9. 15th January 2010 Dear Parents, Governors and Friends, Best wishes for a very Happy New Year to everyone and what a start to the year it has been! School closure Thank you for your tolerance and support over the past two weeks in dealing with the school closures necessitated by the adverse weather conditions. Closing a school is a complex decision, involving many factors and is made after consultations with many people. My primary concern when making that decision is the safety of pupils, staff, parents and visitors during their time in school plus when travelling to and from the premises. I very much appreciate your support and understanding as I am well aware of the inconvenience that school closures can cause to working parents. Dinner money Due to the recent school closure, we are aware that those families who paid in advance for their child/children’s school dinners that a credit will be required. We would be grateful if you would deduct the credits when you make your make your next payment. Mrs Kirk would be very grateful if you could make these credits clear on the payment envelope. Thank you for your support with this. School clubs Next week all school clubs will run as normal, including breakfast club. Art lessons Please can I remind you that it would be extremely helpful for Mrs Thompson and Mrs Jessop if you could provide your child/children with a t-shirt for their art lessons. A t-shirt that is slightly too large for them is much easier than the more traditional shirt with buttons that we have previously requested. Theatre visit A letter should have arrived home today, Friday 15th January, with details of the visit from IMAGE theatre next Monday, 18th January. They are performing JUNGLE BOOK, which is suitable for all our pupils. We would be very grateful for a £2.00 contribution towards this visit. Thank you for your support.
