Proceeds benefit the Shout Out Club, to promote school pride Chess Championships: Kentlake’s annual School-wide Chess Championships will run through the finals on Friday, November 21st. Preliminary rounds will be scheduled on Wednesday, and Thursday in the Commons from 2:30-3:45pm each day. The finals will be held in the Commons during all three lunches on Friday. There will be awards for the top six finalists and the 1st place winner will have their name placed on the perpetual trophy for 2008. Students wanting to compete need to sign-up in either the Main Office or the Athletic Office by the end of lunches on Monday, November 18th. AP Course Survey: Kentlake is seeking parent input on our AP course offerings. A survey was included with the last parent newsletter. Please encourage your parents to complete the survey and return them to the box in the main office. You must check out through the Attendance office any time you leave during the school day. Electronic Device Reminder: Students using or displaying any electronic devices upon entering the building in the morning through 2:10pm will have them confiscated and will be subject to discipline. This includes, but n ot limited to: cell phones, iPods, CD players, MP3 players and pagers. ASB/Athletics Office Hours: The ASB/Athletic office will be open to purchase ASB cards, yearbooks and parking passes and pay fees/fines before school, during your lunch and after school. Lockers: Locker information will be given only before school, lunch, and after school. Do not stop by except during these times. Hats/hoods: No hats or hoods up upon entering the building. Non compliance will result in the loss of your hat. Student Parking: If you are coming in for early practice or to work out in the gym, you still need to park in your designated parking lots after school starts. You will risk being ticketed otherwise. Lot A: Staff/Senior/Visitor parking. Lot B: Staff parking only (middle parking lot). Lot C: Junior/Sophomore parking is the last lot from the main road. Attention Students: If you are not involved in a sport, club or after school activity then you need to be out of the building by 2:30p. Please plan on taking the bus after school or arranging for transportation because you will not be able to ride the activity bus. As a reminder: You need to be with the coach or advisor a minimum of 1 hour in order to get an activity bus pass.
