                     PLAN 2006 - 2007




Children & Young People’s
Department
INTRODUCTION

1.     The Children and Young People’s Strategic Partnership have five outcome
       groups ensuring children are:-

       a)     Healthy
       b)     Safe
       c)     Enjoy and Achieve
       d)     Make a Positive Contribution
       e)     Actively Encourage Well Being

       In addition two inter-related additional groups have been formed for Looked
       After Children and Children and Young People with Learning Difficulties and
       Disabilities (LDD).


2.     This implementation plan has been produced after detailed discussion with
       the Learning Difficulties and Disabilities (LDD) group.


3.     Whilst the initial key priorities have been identified, it is recognised that over
       time these will be reviewed, up-dated and added to. It is intended that
       progress with this plan will be monitored by the LDD Steering Group and
       SENAC.


4.     The plan supersedes the previous Education Inclusion Plan and includes
       recommendations for action identified in the Joint Area Review 2005.
