                         Employee Turnover Cost Analysis Formula

The information below is a guide for determining the separation, vacancy, replacement and training costs
resulting from employee turnover. It allows space for you to calculate your turnover costs. This formula
can be used to calculate turnover cost for one position, a class code, a division or the entire agency.

                       Turnover costs can be expressed in the formula:
   Turnover costs = separation costs + vacancy costs + replacement costs + training costs.

Instructions: Place the correct numeric information in the boxes provided. There is no need to
compute/respond in spaces without a box. The total costs will be calculated and shown in the
