Ribbon Murukus Recipes
Ingredients:
Gram Flour - about 1 & 1/2 glass
Rice Flour - About 3/4 glass
Ghee – 3-5 tablespoon
Chilli powder - 1 teaspoon each per glass
Hing – ¼ teaspoon
Cooking soda - 1-2 pinch (Optional)
Salt for taste (1/4 - 1/2 tsp per glass would be ideal )
Method:
Mix all the above ingredients very well. Add water to make a smooth dough.
Take a pan and add enough cooking oil to deep fry. Place a large ball of this dough inside a
"murukku achu" ( use the design with 2 lines on it) and squeeze the achu so that the
murukku drops into boiling oil. Turn over until fully cooked.
Cooking time - 10-15 minutes
Murukus with Roasted Gram
Ingredients:
Roasted Gram (Pottukadle – The one which we use for coconut chutney) - about 1 glass
(Powder it)
Rice Flour - About 3 glasses
Ghee – 5-6 teaspoon
Till – 1-2 teaspoons
Hing – ¼ teaspoon
Cooking soda - 1-2 pinch (Optional)
Salt for taste (1/4 - 1/2 tsp per glass would be ideal )
Method:
