Spring 2005 Chul woo Lim 3 None Day time This course is providing an essential introduction to E-Business which has topics like e-Commerce, ERP, CRM(Customer Relationship Management),
Database Marketing etc. It is especially focused on Case studies to catch the
idea of „What is the E-Business‟. At the end of course, group project will be assigned to plan a E-Business which group has think out of.
Course Aims:
After completing this course, students will be able to Get the big picture of E-Business over the world. Understand Internet technologies and how it can be used in e-Business. Understand the Database warehouse & mining for Marketing. Understand the ERP & CRM.

Class requirements:
There is not much chance to experience E-Business in Kazahstan . Hence, course demands faithful efforts for attendance. For the record, total attendance and attitude in the class will be reflected by final grade. As the works required are of both individual and group nature, it is important that leave yourself sufficient time for group meetings. Please review carefully the lecture materials updated lesson by lesson. If you regularly attend classes and keep up with the assignments, you will be successful both understanding E-Business and receiving a good grade. Since all assignments are due on the day nailed on the syllabus, no late assignments will be accepted. Even if accepted, your

mark will be compromised. In the spirit of equal treatment to the entire class, no exceptions will be granted.
Evaluation:
-Mid-term exam #1 (individual, written), 6 weeks after semester starts -Mid-term exam #2 (individual, written), 6 weeks after 1 exam -Group project (Group, written and verbal presentation) at the end of semester.

Group Project:
The objective of this project is to make students think of a new idea and business plan in E-business in real world. The project team that consists of four or five persons will plan a E-Business in Kazahstan(could be Almaty). Verbal presentation by one of the group members is required as well as previous submission of the report.
