1.   Am I eligible to apply for these posts incase I do not have my computer diploma?
     Additional qualification of successful completion of one year diploma course in computer is
     desirable not mandatory, for both the posts. If you do not have any computer diploma leave the
     column of computer related qualification blank in your application form.


2.   What should I do incase I do not have marks for computer diploma?
     Additional qualification of successful completion of one year diploma course in computer is
     desirable not mandatory, for both the posts. If you do not have the marks leave the column of
     computer related qualification blank in your application form.


3.   Can I apply for these posts if I do not have a computer diploma, but I have studied computer as
     a subject in my graduation?
     Additional qualification of successful completion of one year diploma course in computer is
     desirable not mandatory, for both the posts. If you do not have any computer diploma leave the
     column of computer related qualification blank in your application form.


4.   What is the age relaxation provided for the central government/government employees.
     There is no age relaxation provided to central government/government employees for this
     particular exam.

5.   How can we fill the online application form?
     To apply for the post of Section officer, Executive Assistant or both you need to go to the
     website www.csir.res.in. There you will see an advertisement for CASE 2009 Examination
      Scheduling and there would be a link "Apply Online”. Click on that link in the next screen you
      will see another link in “User Registration”. Click on the User Registration and a form will appear
      on. Please fill the form and you will be guided further through the process.

6.   What should be done if I am unable to take the printout? Can I retrieve my form?
     If you are not able to take a print out, before closing the form, you cannot open the form again. You
     will have to take a print out of the pdf and send a hard copy of the form along with DD and
     necessary documents.


7.   What is the date of the examination?
     Sorry to inform you that we cannot provide you with any information on this issue. Once the
     applications are received, the selected candidates would be notified accordingly. The information
     will be send to the email id used for registration/filled in the application form.


8.   When would I receive my admit card?
     After the candidate has booked the slot, he/she will be able to generate the admit card. Please note,
     no Admit Card will be sent by post.
9.   What is the syllabus for the examination?
     Please refer to Page 2 “Scheme of the Examination” Annexure 1 & Annexure 2 in the detailed
     advertisement.


10. How can I book the slot for the exam? There is no provision provided online.
    The booking of slots for the examination need not be done now. After the scrutiny of applications,
    slot booking will be enabled through a link in the CSIR website, provided eligibility conditions are
    met, documents verified and payment is received.

     You will be intimated regarding the same once your application is selected.


11. Can we use any other means to send the application, instead of registered posts?
    Completely filled application forms send through Speed Post, Registered Post or by hand are
    accepted.


12. What is the amount for the DD that needs to be sent?

        General and OBC Category                                              Rs. 700/-
        SC/ST/PH/Ex Servicemen/CSIR Departmental Candidates                   – NIL-

     Please enclose the examination fee in the form of a single A/c payee Bank Draft of State Bank of
     India (SBI) with six months validity drawn at New Delhi in favour of Joint Secretary
     (Administration), CSIR, New Delhi along with the application submitted as per directions
     mentioned under Para 9.


13. What is the amount of the DD incase applying for both the posts?
    Even if you want to apply for both the posts the DD should be in the amount of Rs. 700/-.


14. How is NOC to be drafted for government employees?
    Endorsement form given in the end of the advt. Please make sure you take signature from your
    HOD.


15. Can I apply for these posts if I am in the final year /have a provisional degree/have mark sheets?
    Any        candidate       with       a      Bachelor     Degree/provisional     certificate/or     a
    certificate    from      the    college    stating    the   clearance   of   all   the      semesters,
    along with the attested mark sheets, from a recognized university in any
    discipline is eligible to apply for this post.


16. How to select General Category in the form, point # 3?
    If you do not click in any of the category box, you will, by default be taken as a General Category
    candidate.


17. If I have sent application by post, is it mandatory to fill the form online as well?
    It is not mandatory to fill the online form, if you have sent the application offline it is not required
    to fill the form online as well.
