Introduction to Yorkshire Farmhouse Food Drink Hub
Document Sample

Who we are…
Yorkshire Farmhouse, a well-established family farm and egg business with over 25
years of trading, has formed Yorkshire Farmers Market in response to the rapidly
growing demand for regionally produced food and drink and the challenge that
regional producers have in selling their products into the large multiples. We are
based in the village of Catton between Thirsk and Ripon with excellent access to the
A1.
What we are doing…
In September 2007 we will officially launch our regional food and drink “hub”. Initially
we are sourcing a wide range of quality products that will be featured in the
dedicated, “Produced in Yorkshire” area of the regions’ 20 ASDA stores.
How it works…
You don’t have to navigate the complexities of selling into a major grocery chain we
will do it all for you. Our terms are based on the standard 30 days and if you require
any help in conforming to the required accreditation, packaging and labelling, we will
help you. Our goal is to facilitate the sales of local, quality food and drink and provide
our suppliers with a cost effective route to market.
The Benefits…
A single point of contact;
Access to our large regional customer base;
Choice of branding – yours or ours;
Support with packaging, bar-coding and accreditation;
In-store merchandising and sampling.
