									                Fine Arts for Ocala Art Show/Food Vendor Rules
                           October 25th and 26th, 2008
                MacPherson Government Complex, Ocala Florida

1. Application deadline is Sept 1, 2008. Booth fees must accompany submission of
    the application, payable to Fine Arts for Ocala (FAFO).
2. You will be notified by mail within 4 weeks of receipt of your completed
    application regarding your acceptance.
3. Acceptance is a commitment to participate in the show. Fees are non-refundable
    for rain/weather.
4. Only one space per vendor will be allowed without the prior written consent of
    FAFO. We are offering 2 “prime” booth sites which will allow for more room and
5. Collection and remittance of Florida sales tax is the responsibility of each vendor.
    The department of revenue is given participants’ information.
6. FAFO will assign the location of vendor spaces. A vendor packet, including booth
    assignment and setup information, will be mailed to you in Sept 2007.
7. Vendors are permitted to set up on Friday October 24th, 2008. Setup times will be
8. Vendors are responsible for keeping their area clean and orderly during the show.
9. Booths must be staffed at all times during the Festival.
10. FAFO is not responsible for food left overnight in booths.
11. Parking of cars is not permitted in the show area after 8 am on Saturday October
    25th. Show hours are 9-4 each day. Vendors must be packed and out of the show
    area by 7pm on October 26th.
12. No animals, bicycles, roller skates roller blades or skateboards are permitted at the
    Festival. The Ocala Police Department will enforce these rules.
13. The Art Show committee reserves the right to make final interpretations of the

INDEMNIFICATION: Vendor agrees to indemnify fully and save and hold
harmless the City of Ocala and Fine Arts for Ocala, its officers, employees and agents
against all damage claims, liabilities and causes of action of every kind and nature, to
the extent that they are not caused by the conduct of the City agents or employees.
The City shall give the Vendor prompt and reasonable notice of any such claims or
actions and Vendor shall have the right to investigate compromise and defend the
same to the extent of Vendor’s own interest. ______ Initials

Nothing contained in this agreement shall be construed as a waiver of the City’s
sovereign immunity granted pursuant to Section 768.28, Fla. Stat.

WAIVER OF CLAIMS: The City of Ocala and Fine Arts for Ocala and its agents
shall not be liable for, and vendor(s) hereby, release all claims for damage to or loss
of personal property sustained by vendor(s) or any person claiming through
vendor(s), resulting from any fire, accident, occurrence, theft or condition in or upon
   the Festival staging grounds of which they shall be part of, or of the adjoining areas
   provided same are not due to the negligence of the City of Ocala or its agents.

   I have read and agree to comply with the show rules. I understand and agree that the
   City of Ocala and Fine Arts for Ocala or any other sponsoring organization will not
   be responsible or liable for any damage or loss to participants or personal liability in
   connection with the show.
