ADMISSION TO FIRST SEMESTER DIPLOMA COURSES FOR THE 2009-10
INTERVIEW CUM SPOT ADMISSION LETTER 10-06-2009
With reference to your application for admission to First Semester Diploma Courses, you are
hereby informed to appear before the Selection Committee along with your parents on
26thJune 2009 at 10.00 A.M in the Committee Room of the Polytechnic.
Terms & Conditions
1. You should have passed Karnataka SSLC or Equivalent Examination and should have secured
a minimum of 35% of marks each in Science and Mathematics Subjects for CS, DA, EC &
JDT Courses. For CP & CAVI Courses, should have passed Karnataka SSLC or Equivalent
Examination.
2. Minimum Disability must be 40% in the case of Orthopaedically Handicapped, 60db to total
deafness in the case of Hearing Impaired. Visual acuity not exceeding 6/60 or 20/200 snellen
in the better eye in the case of Partially Blind and up to total blindness in the case of Totally
Blind Students. You may have to undergo a Medical Checkup by our Doctors if found
necessary.
3. Orthopaedically Handicapped students are eligible for CS, DA, CP, EC & JDT Courses.
4. Hearing Impaired students are eligible for CS, DA, EC & JDT Courses.
5. Partially Blind students are eligible for CP & CAVI Courses.
6. Totally Blind students are eligible for CAVI Course only.
7. Partially and Totally Blind students who want to join CP & CAVI Courses should have the
knowledge of English Braille Language.
8. The selection of Candidates is based on Merit / Reservation for CS, DA & CP Courses. Hence,
you have to select the course available at the time of Interview.
9. The decision of the Selection Committee shall be final in all the matters concerning admission.
10. You have to bring the following certificates in original with 4 sets of Xerox copies :
a) Marks Card of Karnataka SSLC or Equivalent Examination.
b) Transfer Certificate.
c) Medical Certificate from the Competent Authority (Concerned Government Surgeon) with
full size attested Photograph.

d) Passport Size Photographs showing disability as far as possible (6 Nos.).
e) Candidates who have passed other than Karnataka SSLC have to bring the Eligibility
Certificate obtained from the Secretary, Board of Technical Examinations, Tantrika
Bhavana, Palace Road, Bangalore – 560 001.
f) Study Certificate for having studied for 5 or 10 years in Karnataka from First Standard to
SSLC. This should have been countersigned by the BEO in the case of Private Schools.
g) The candidates claiming seats under Reserved Category have to produce latest verified
caste and income certificates duly signed by the concerned authorities in the prescribed
format.
h) Candidates claiming seats under Rural Quota have to produce Rural Certificates duly
signed by the concerned authorities.
Note: Conditions 10(f), (g) and (h) apply only to Karnataka Candidates.
11. If selected, you are required to get yourself admitted to the course by paying the prescribed
fee as given below on the spot:

12. This letter is not a guarantee of a seat for admission since more number of candidates are called
for interview than the seats available for admission.
13. Scholarships for eligible students are available from the Department of Women & Child
Development, Government of Karnataka and Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment,
Govt. of India.
Note : The applicants who want to join only EC and JDT Courses may approach the
Principal even earlier to the Date of Interview with all the records stated above.
The Polytechnic is at a distance of about 6 Kms. from Mysore Railway Station and 7 Kms.
from Mysore KSRTC Bus Stand. City Bus Route Nos. from City Bus Stand are 129 & 130
and from Railway Station 130. Alighting Stop : SJCE or JSS Polytechnic for Women Stop.
