									Letter of Condolence from OSHA
Everyone at OSHA, and all the VPP sites in Region VI, would like to take a moment to let our
friends at NASA, the families of the seven astronauts, our friends associated with NASA and all of
their contractors know that our thoughts and prayers are with them as they deal with the loss of
the seven astronauts and the shuttle Columbia.

No one knows better than those involved with VPP the hazards that people face on the job every
day. For the safety and well being of others, these seven heroes paid the ultimate price. Those
that sacrificed their lives will never be forgotten and the lessons we learn from this tragedy will be
used to save others in the future.

You are all in our thoughts and prayers as we move forward from this tragedy. I think President
Bush said it best... "The same Creator who names the stars also knows the names of the seven
souls we mourn today. The crew of the shuttle Columbia did not return safely to Earth; yet we
can pray that all are safely home."

Region VI VPP Manager
