Biostatistician – full time: University of British Columbia, Division of Nephrology, St. Paul’s Hospital. We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our research team of clinician scientists, working in the field of kidney transplantation. We value the following characteristics: Expertise in biostatics: You should have a Masters degree in biostatistics/statistics and a background in health sciences research. You should be proficient in the use of SAS, STATA, Splus and SPSS. You should be familiar with time to event analyses, repeated measures analyses, and hierarchical modeling techniques. Strong communication skills: In addition to proficiency in English, you must have the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of individuals from students to senior investigators. You should be comfortable presenting in front of a group, and be able to speak on behalf of your co-investigators in a variety of different settings. Excellent interpersonal skills: We value individuals who are able to work effectively in a team setting. Work ethic: You must be ambitious, honest and hardworking. You must be able to work independently and have the ability to meet deadlines. This position requires you to be flexible and accommodating.
