Chicago, IL, February 26, 2010 – Write One Publications, Inc. author Bernice

Rating: 5
When you look at today’s youth what do you see? Hopefully it’s not the depression of declining self-esteem and lack of
goals. Young black men have a desperate need to be inspired to do something more with themselves than what they see
commonly expressed in images in the media. In this book the author delves deep into the social issues that are plaguing
our community and provides suggestions on how we can change the tide.
I found the book to be inspiring and an excellent reading suggestion for today’s young black men. Single mothers will
really appreciate the book as it pushes to inspire young men in preparation for the inevitable, manhood. I found Malik
Yoba’s forward to be humbling and inspirational. Every young man needs a positive role model to look up to and
Yoba, taking the time to share a few words in this book, provides young men a voice of reason, compassion and call to
action from a positive male who has made it.
I applaud the author for stepping out on an unpopular subject and making a stand for our youth. She begs the
reader to be mindful of their decisions as they can shape their future in a positive or negative nature. If you have a young
man who could use some guidance and you are even a little concerned about his life choices, this book is for you and
your adolescent in need.
