					Name               Biography
SALLY              Sally has a broad knowledge of broadcasting and the communications industry having spent most
DOGANIS            of her career in TV. She was an executive at the BBC and was headhunted to join the ITV
                   company Carltontv where she became the Controller of Factual TV. There she helped turn round
                   the company’s fortunes bringing them new markets and a high, award winning profile. As a result
                   she was made a fellow of the prestigious Royal Television Society for ‘outstanding work in the
                   industry’. She was appointed by the DIUS to the Arts and Humanities Research Council, where she
                   chairs the Risk committee and is on the Task Force committee. She spent 8 years as a Mental
                   Health Manager in her local Hospital Trust, is on the events committee of the RTS, and the council
                   of Friends of Iveagh Bequest, and works independently as an executive producer.
HILARY             Associate Political Director, Northern Ireland Office. Former posts include Director of Corporate
JACKSON            Strategy, Treasury Solicitor’s Department and in the Home Office: Director of Community Policy,
                   Principal Private Secretary to the Home Secretary; Head of Juvenile Offender Unit; Head of Crime
                   (Sentences) Bill Unit; Head of Criminal Investigations and Procedures Bill Unit, Head of Youth
                   Justice Section in Sentencing Policy Unit.
RALPH              Ralph has held a number of Executive and Non Executive positions for many high profile
KANTER             companies including being a Director and Trustee member for Crime Concern since its inception in
                   1988 through to present day.
BRIAN              A retired bank treasurer who is now a director of the UK Debt Management Office and a member of
LARKMAN            the Exchequer Funds Audit Committee, HM Treasury. He is also a consultant to the London and
                   Manchester Large Business Offices, HMRC, and was until recently a member of the Regulatory
                   Decisions Committee of the Financial Services Authority. Formerly Global Head of Money Markets
                   in the NatWest Group (and then the Royal Bank of Scotland Group), he was Chairman of the BBA
                   Sterling Markets Advisory Panel and participated in a number of banking industry committees and
                   working groups under the auspices of the Bank of England, APACS and Crestco. A school
                   governor for over 25 years, he is currently a governor of the Portsmouth Grammar School and
                   Chairman of its Development Board, and Chair of Governors at the Priory Primary School,
                   Bicknacre.
JIM                Appointed Chief Operating Officer for Logica in January 2005 and is a member of the PLC Board.
MCKENNA            Prior to this appointment, he was Chief Executive for the UK and Ireland. He has also been
Chair              responsible for Logica in continental Europe and the Middle East. He formerly worked for GEC-
                   Marconi and also Plessey Company plc. He is Chairman of Azzurri Communications, Chairman of
                   the Board of Governors – University of East London, and Chairman of the ADAB Trust.
BRUCE              Chair of Governors The Academy at Peckham. Director of two start-up companies. Formerly:
NOBLE              Owner of Swandean School of English; Group Managing Director, Grand Metropolitan Foods;
                   Chairman and CEO Pillsbury UK; Management Consultant McKinsey and Co.; Non-executive
                   Director of Post Office Counters Ltd., TV Licensing Authority and Gidleigh Park hotel; Chair F&GP
                   Committee WellBeing Charity (Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists).
SIR KEITH          Keith has been a police officer with various forces since the early 60’s and worked his way up from
POVEY              constable to Her Majesty’s Chief Inspector of Constabulary, a role he retired from in 2005.
DEREK              Derek has previously been Leader of Islington Council and Deputy Chairman of the Greater
SAWYER             London Magistrates Courts Authority; he was a member of the London Probation Board and Chair
                   of the London Courts Board.
JOHN               John is currently a Chief Inspector with the Metropolitan Police Service after serving as a police
SUTHERLAND         officer for more than 13 years in a number of roles. He is currently responsible for community
                   policing ('Safer Neighbourhoods') in Hammersmith & Fulham.
SONNY              VP Employee Relations at Citigroup. Previously Head of Employee Relations at BT Openreach.
TAANK              Former Head of Private Sector, Commission for Racial Equality. Previous management posts held
                   with Dixons Stores Group and Iceland Group. Executive member of SSPC Southall.
JULIE              Appointed Director of Commissioning & Partnerships for the National Offender Management
TAYLOR             Service (NOMS) part of the Ministry of Justice in 2007. Previous appointment was as Director of
                   the Transition Programme in the London Strategic Health Authority. Julie has a wealth of
                   experience of strategy and delivery at the front line within central government and has vast
                   experience in commissioning, managing a number of change programmes, and performance
                   Management. Previous posts have included Director of System Reform, Director of Group
                   Business and Head of Planning & Programmes.
BEN W ELSH         Ben joined his current role with Norwich Union Insurance as Corporate Affairs Director in 2000 after
                   a number of years working in public relations roles around the world.
