					Doctors of Divinity
1) Rev. Dr. Paul F.Johns, Senior Pastor of Immanuel Baptist Church, Yangon.
 a) He became the Chairman of EBS Board since November 1994, and still continued till today.
 b) He received his DD from EBS in March 1999.

2) Rev. Dr. Alfred Yeo, Singapore He was a former minister of Grace Methodist Church, Singapore for 22
years.
 a) He was a former General Secretary of Evangelical Fellowship of Singapore.
 b) He was a former General Secretary of Evangelical Fellowship of Asia. He was a long time reliable friend.
 c) His friendship began in February 1993 when he and Mrs. Yeo visited EBS during his official visit to
Myanmar as the General Secretary of Evangelical Fellowship of Asia.
d) When he briefly met with Michael Chongluai at the Global Consultation for World Evangelization
(GCOWE 97) meeting in Pretoria in South Africa in August 1997, he said, " Michael, I know you and trust you.
Therefore I will do whatever you say.”
e) The friendship became a long term partnership basis and bearing much fruit.
f)     He became a member for EBS International Board of Reference in 1999 and still continued till today.
g) He received his DD from EBS in February 2000.We are grateful to him and his wife Mrs. Rosie Yeo for
their friendship and support.

3) Rev. Dr. Kam Khaw Thang, Tiddim Chin Bible Translator, United Bible Societies, Yangon.
a) He was a former General Secretary of Tiddim Baptist Association, Chin Statein the early 1960s.
b) He was known as a man of word and good discipline among senior ministers in Myanmar Baptist
Convention at large. Especially he is known as a far sighted man of God and a wise man among Chin Christians
in Myanmar.
c) He was trusted by the American Baptist missionaries for solving disputes and conflicts and problems.
d) He became the Chairman of EBS Board right from its early beginning in Chin Hills in February1985 and
this continued till November 1994. Since then, he became an Honourary Treasurer for EBS and this continued
till today.
e) He has never absent at EBS business meetings since the past 20 years and this continued till today.
f)      He received his DD from EBS in February 2000.
g) We are grateful to him and his wife Niang Khan Ciin for their friendship and support.

4) Rev. Dr. Michael Chongluai, Founder President & Managing Trustee of EBS
a) by God's help,he started EBS in 1986 and served as its President and Managing Trustee since then.
i)    He started his early ministry as an evangelist and pastor at his home town in Tiddim township, Chin State
since 1984.
ii) He became the first Director for Evangelism and Mission Department at Tiddim Baptist Association in
Chin State since April 1985 to July 1986.
iii) He was ordained by Tiddim Baptist Association on April 6, 1986.
iv) He became a converted Christian from his early childhood days. Like a young Timothy in the Bible, he
grew up in the Christian faith by a step by step.
v) He felt God's special call in his life for a full time Christian ministry in September 1971 while he was
doing his ninth standard at a State High School.
vi) He received his DD from EBS in February 2000.
vii) The board, faculty and students of EBS are truly grateful to him and his wife for their zeal and love for God
and his people in Myanmar and also for their strong and exemplary leadership for training many people at EBS
for the Great Commission of our Lord Jesus Christ.

5)   Rev. Dr. David Lee, Senior Pastor, Maranatha Christian Assembly, Singapore.
i)    His friendship with EBS began in March 1997 as a Bible teacher at a Mission Conference sponsored by
EBS at the Blind Compound in Yangon.
ii) He became a closer friend of EBS when Michael Chongluai met with him at the Billy Graham
Evangelistic Association's Grand Meeting in Amsterdam in July 2000.
iii) His background is Assemblies of God. But he is not extreme or one sided in his relationship and dealing
with other Christians and background. He is a good balanced and humble minister.
iv) He began to join and served as a member of EBS International Board of Reference since 2000.
v) He received his DD from EBS in March 2004.
vi) He is the current General Secretary of Evangelical Fellowship of Singapore.

6) Rev. Dr. Josiah Phalamin, Pastor of Living Water Church, Yangon
i)    Originally he came from Putao township in Kachin State
ii) He was the then General Superintendent of the General Council of the Assemblies of God Church in
Myanmar.
iii) He received his DD from EBS in March 2004.

7) Rev. Dr. Thawng Za Mung, President, Myanmar Biblical Christian Fellowship, Yangon.
i)    He was a retired school teacher. He first came to EBS in 1989 and received his B.Th. degree in 1994.
ii) He started Myanmar Biblical Christian Fellowship in 1975 at his village in Tonzang township, Chin State.
iii) He started a Biblical Baptist Church in Yangon, and served as its senior Pastor.
iv) He also started an orphanage ministry in Yangon.
v) He also translated King James Bible into Tiddim Chin language, and so far he had already finished New
Testament and published it in Yangon.
vi) He was invited and began to join EBS Board in 1997.
vii) He received his DD from EBS in March 2004.
viii)      His two daughters also received their B.Th. degree from EBS.

8) Rev. Dr. Lalchungnunga, Founder & President of Mission for Christ, Mizoram, India.
i)    He is a humble and effective evangelist from Mizoram, India. He has a special vision and burden for
Myanmar.
ii) God healed him from his sick-bed on February 14, 1964. God has given him a specific gift of healing sick
people.
iii) He was one of 38 Mizo Christian leaders who met on May 6, 1972 in order to found Zoram Evangelical
Fellowship in Aizawl, Mizoram.
iv) He started a mission sending body called Mission of Christ India on November 22, 1983.
v) He received his DD from EBS in March 2006.

9) Rev. Dr. Joseph Tan, Director, Ambassador for Christ International, Singapore.
a) His name was first brought to EBS by Rev. Dr. Thawng Za Mung, a board member of EBS.
b) He and his wife Esther Tan came for a personal friendship and interview for his DD in December 2005.
His testimony greatly impressed the EBS Board
c) He received his DD from EBS in March 2006.
d) He became a good friend and regular visiting teacher at EBS. His gift of teaching isparticularly on a
Christian Family and it is highly appreciated by both faculty and students.
e) He could truly enlarged his tent and made a new horizon, and most effectively used the God given gift to
EBS community and also to some other people groups after he visited Myanmar for the past 30 years.

10) Rev. Dr. Robert Siakimotu, Director, Open Air Campaigners International, New Zealand
a) His name was first brought to EBS by Rev. Dr. Robert Cunville, Associate Evangelist with Dr. Billy
Graham to honour him in March 2005.
b)   He received his DD from EBS in March 2006.

11) Rev. Dr. Garrett (Garry) John Coleman, Missions Manager & Company Director, Christian
a) Enterprises Ltd., Australia.
b) His name was first brought to EBS by Dr. Joseph Tan in August 2006.
c) The Board has unanimously approved his application.
d) Even before he got his DD from EBS, he shared the vision and mission of God at EBS and became a good
friend.
e) Most recently, he received his DD from EBS in February 24, 2007 at the 18th Annual
