CLIFFHANGER                              At last, I was safe, away from that

After all that suspense and tension
we find that there is a simple
explanation after all..

CIRCULAR                                 ‘I’m not frightened of ghosts, it’s all
                                         just a lot of silly stories’ the man said,
The story ends where it began,           ‘So, if you’ll show me to this Red
maybe suggesting that it will go on to   Room of yours….’
repeat itself again and again.

EPILOGUE                                 Twenty years later…

This is like an afterthought to the
story, usually set later in time.

SWITCH IN MODE OF NARRATION              MAN FOUND DEAD IN RED ROOM -
                                         news headline
The type of text changes, perhaps to
