Introduction:
This modules is about the effective use of resources, (both people resources
and commodities), to bring about a financial benefit for a business.

This Module consists:

    Apply a range of communication methods to bring about improvements
      where necessary.
    Implementing and agreeing workable timeframes.

Module: BT1 - Prepare and maintain the beauty therapy work area.

Introduction:
This module provides a supporting role for a beauty therapist and will enable
you to prepare the treatment room, retrieve client records and then tidy the
room after treatment and dispose of waste materials.


This Module consists:
    Understanding organisational and legal responsibilities.
    Preparing and maintaining the treatment room in respect of the
      environment, sterilisation, hygiene and treatment requirements.

Introduction:
This module allows you to provide a supporting role to a senior therapist and
enables you to carryout some practical elements of a facial treatment on a
client.

This Module consists:

therapist to conceal an unwanted tattoo or patch of uneven skin tone.

      suite client requirements.

Introduction:
A full National Vocational Qualification for those wishing to be employed as an assistant in a
Salon.

Modules:

BT1     - Prepare and maintain the beauty therapy work area.
BT2     - Assist with facial treatments.
BT3     - Assist with nail treatments on hands.

assessments for each unit. In addition to the course, you will need to complete case
studies in your own time to cover the module ranges and to assist with the learning of your
routines. You will need to practise until you can operate within commercial time frames, of

revision for the APL areas as questions pertaining to these could arise in the underpinning
knowledge assessments. Some theoretical assignments and collection of evidence will be
