BANQUET
The team banquet and Hall of Fame induction will be held Wednesday, May 25, at the Teague
Special Events Center on the Abilene Christian University campus, beginning at 7 p.m. Each
member of an institution’s official travel party will receive a complimentary banquet ticket per
NCAA policy. Additional tickets may be purchased for $20. Please order additional tickets by
May 20 with the order form at www.acu.edu/tracknationals/championshipinformation/banquet

CREDENTIALS
Credentials, as determined by the NCAA, will be issued using the following system:
    One participant credential per competing student-athlete.
    One media credential per institution per final approval of the NCAA committee.
      Applications are available at www.acu.edu/tracknationals. Deadline is May 20, 2005.
    One medical credential per institution. Medical credentials must be requested prior to
      arrival through Jason Dunavant (JD) at www.acu.edu/tracknationals
    Coaches’ credentials will be issued using the following formula per gender:

PARKING
Convenient parking will be available throughout the ACU campus during the championship.
There are no restrictions on where to park except for the handicap spaces.

COMPETITOR NUMBERS
Participants must wear competitor numbers on front (larger) and back (smaller) during
competition. High jumpers and pole vaulters may wear either number on front or back. Hip
numbers will be assigned to all runners. Hip numbers must be worn on briefs or shorts.
NUMBERS CANNOT BE ALTERED IN ANY FASHION.

RELAY UNIFORMS
All athletes on a team who wear a two piece uniform (singlet and shorts, briefs or tights) must
wear identical singlets. The bottom (shorts, briefs or tights) must be of the same solid color but
can be of varying length. Athletes who wear body suits must wear identical body suits. If one or
more wears a body suit and another athlete wears a two piece uniform, then the color of the body
suit(s) must be identical to the color of the singlet.

VIDEO/WIRELESS COMMUNICATION
The viewing of videotape or photos, or the use of any wireless communication device, by a
competitor during the competition is prohibited. The use by competitors of video or audio
devices, radio transmitters or receivers, mobile phones, computers or any similar device in the
competition is prohibited.

JUMP INFORMATION
   The high jump paddock provides an unlimited approach area.
   The long jump and triple jump pit is the runway on the common finish line side. The long
     jump is 200 feet to the board and the board is 13 feet from the pit. The pit is 20 feet long.
   The triple jump for the men is 174 feet to the board and 39 feet to the pit.
   The triple jump for the women is 180 feet to the board and 33 feet to the pit.

POLE VAULT/JAVELIN
The javelin runway is over 114 feet long. The pole vault runway is 135 feet to the back of the
box. Participants can ship their poles/javelins directly to Abilene Christian University, Attn. Jon
Murray, 131 Teague Center, Abilene, Texas 79699, phone: 325-674-2287. Participants are
responsible for shipping their equipment back to their institution. Member institutions will be
reimbursed for shipping of their poles by the NCAA.

MULTI EVENTS
All events will be contested at Elmer Gray Stadium, Abilene Christian University. Weigh-ins
will take place at the north end of the stadium. Implement weigh-in will be from 8 a.m. until 90
minutes prior to the start of the event for which the implement is being certified.

WEIGHT EVENTS
All weight events will be contested at Elmer Gray Stadium, Abilene Christian University. All
implements will be certified at the north equipment room under the stands at Elmer Gray
Stadium.

WEIGH-IN SCHEDULE
Implements may be dropped off at the implement weigh-in area three hours prior to the
event and no later than 90 minutes prior to the event on the day of competition.

All implements will be impounded at the time of certification. Certified implements will be
transported to the event site one hour prior to the event. Meet management will provide a
selection of implements for use by any competitor. Competitors may use their own implements,
provided they have been certified as legal. All implements may be picked up in the certification
areas no earlier than 30 minutes following the conclusion of the event finals.

RUNNING EVENT INFORMATION
   Meet management will have batons available for those teams needing one.
   Only UCS starting blocks provided by meet management may be used.
   Relay cards MUST be completed and turned in by the coaches 30 minutes prior to the
    event. Cards are to be turned in at tent #1 in the warm-up area.

CLERKING PROCEDURE – RUNNING EVENTS
Runners must check in to check-in tent #1 no later than 30 minutes prior to the event for hip
numbers. Participants will be called to check-in tent #2 15 minutes before the event. Relay cards
are due to tent #1 no later than 30 minutes prior to the event.

CLERKING PROCEDURE – FIELD EVENTS
Throws, Long Jump, Triple Jump: Check in at the check-in tent #1 in the warm-up area no
later than 60 minutes prior to the event. Athletes will be brought out to the competition area 45
minutes prior to start of the event.

High Jump: Check in at the check-in tent #1 in the warm-up area no later than 75 minutes prior
to the event. Athletes will be brought out 60 minutes prior to start of the event.

Pole Vault: Check in at the check-in tent #1 in the warm-up area no later than 1hour 45 minutes
prior to the event. Athletes will be brought out 90 minutes prior to start of the event.

PROTEST TABLE
The protest table will be located at the check-in tent in the warm-up area.

AWARDS
The awards will be distributed on the infield after the next event. Participants are required to
wear their official school uniform/warm-up for the awards presentation. Individual awards will
be presented to the top eight finishers. Team awards will be provided to the top four teams.
Scoring is 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1

INCLEMENT WEATHER/EVACUATION
In the event of severe weather, athletes, coaches and spectators will be advised via a public
address announcement to seek shelter in Moody Coliseum, which is located south of Elmer Gray
Stadium.

MEDIA/INTERVIEW TENT
The media tent will be located at the south end of the track (in the warm-up area). Media
credentials must be requested by May 20 at www.acu.edu/tracknationals

STADIUM ENTRY
Credentialed athletes, coaches and support staff may enter through any of the three gates of
Elmer Gray Stadium.

DRUG TESTING
All NCAA Championships are subject to drug testing. Athletes chosen for drug testing will be
notified by an NCAA Drug Testing representative. The drug testing area for the championship
will be inside Moody Coliseum (south of Elmer Gray Stadium).

  HEAT SHEETS
   DAY ONE – Issued in packet at team check-in.
   DAY TWO – Available approximately 30 minutes after the final event at the back of
     Elmer Gray Stadium or at the host hotels 90 minutes after the meet.
   DAY THREE – Available approximately 30 minutes after the final event at the back of
     Elmer Gray Stadium or at the host hotels 90 minutes after the meet.

   Heat sheets will also be available each day at 10 a.m. at the souvenir tent.

   RESULTS
   Final results from each day’s events will be available approximately 30 minutes after the
   final event at the back of Elmer Gray Stadium or at the host hotels 90 minutes after the meet.
   Results will also be available at the souvenir tent each day at 10 a.m.

The coaches golf tournament will be held on Wednesday, May 25 at Diamondback Golf Club,
