If you take any of the things in the presentation personally, then great. It gives you a good idea of what you need to start working on.

The sad thing is all of this is true. But no matter how much you try and tell someone this, they always end up making atleast one of these mistake. They also made me chuckle a little bit, on some of the ways things were explained

yes, when you tell others you feel like you gotta do it. i would prefer the article did not use the language it uses, asshole etc. Suggestions are good, as a motivator it could work with some people, but most would be turned off by the language.

Those are all pretty good suggestions, especially #9. Something else I would add is that however much initial capital you think you'll need, you should get a loan for twice as much, in case something doesn't go as planned. Otherwise good list, except the language is a bit unprofessional.

I'm working to find the positive in this. On a good note - the ideas are valid. They are not original or unusual but they are true. Using an 'in your face' writing style is a terrific way to gain traction on the web because controversy often creates clicks. This particular piece insults the person reading it, though, and doesn't work for me as an effective way to use 'shock value' for traffic.

Some people might be offended by the language used, but I found it humorous. The points are should-be-obvious things that people just don't think about. Thanks for posting this.

What an awful language used. The points could be useful, but if some professional could express himself.

POINTS COULD BE MORE USEFULL IF THERE WASN'T SO MUCH LANGUAGE TO TURN YOU OFF.

A complete turn-off with the language as well.

Do market research not only in your local area but in areas that are similar to yours. How long did it take for the business to get started, what type of advertising worked?

The language was pretty offensive- why should I listen to this person? The message was actually pretty good, but hidden behind the attitude. Edgy and attention-grabbing is fine, and the attempt to make it interesting, but this goes too far over the edge.

Horrible fuzzy text but reasonably sound advice although can be interpreted as offensive.

I must say, the language is rather strong and detracts from the ideas the powerpoint is trying to get across. Also, the font and formatting make sit kind fo hard to read. But the points are great.

I thought that this document might have some good thoughts on starting a new business, but I was distracted by the choice of colorful language.

I thought it was hilarious (and has realistic advice), but I bet a lot of overly sensitive people will be insulted

Well its funny I give you that! But besides that its pretty lame and no there is nothing really special about the 10 points!!

I can't believe I went through all of this to read THAT. I am not a lover of profanity. I believe you could have accomplished the same goal by using more professional language. Some people may think you're cool, but there will be plenty of others who are turned off.

I really think this is a pointless article. Frat boys with a vocabulary limited to swear words are not going to be the main audience of this website. Your overall intent might fit here, but the profanity isn't funny and out of line.

Don’t be a douche; get advice from friends, and tell them what you are going to do so you feel like an asshole if you don’t do it. Which you probably won’t, who are we kidding here… Get over yourself asshole; your idea isn’t that good. And even if it is (which it isn’t) it’s not the idea, it’s the execution. OK shit for brains; just got to page “3” of your lame ass Google search… see someone is making a product for condoms/iPhone covers. It doesn’t make a difference if someone else is doing it, just do it better. You are a sad little troll; obviously you never learned to play with others. You can’t do it all by yourself, and why would you want to. You may be half as rich (not!), but you’ll be 10 times more likely to be successful. Grow a sac you freaking woos; yesterday you were telling everyone that this was your million dollar idea, and now you say it’s no good. Just because your loser cousin who still lives with his mother and rents porno every night says it’s a bad idea, does not mean you throw in the towel. “Fuck you, that’s my name; You know why mister, cause you drove a Hyundai to get here tonight, I drove an 80 thousand dollar BMW, that’s my name”. If you think someone else will sell your shitty ass product while you don’t, you are an even bigger douche than I thought before. No one do will do right, what you are not willing to do for yourself. Get off your ass lazy bitch; I’m tired of hearing all your great ideas, do something. Draw a mock up, sell a service, make a call, take a shower. Just start doing stuff and don’t try so hard to figure out the perfect way to start your business. You’re going to screw up anyway, you might as well start screwing up now. How stupid are you; what, some rich daddy warbucks is going to give your lame ass a million dollars because you have a good idea. There is reward for RISK. No risk no reward. Get some extra credit cards, work an extra job, hold up a convenience store… but put in your own money. Maybe after that some dupe will throw some cash your way. Don’t play a martyr dipface; you’re not going to be any good at it. For some reason (unbeknownst to me) some people actually consider you a friend and like you. You’d be surprised what people are willing to do, they like to give back and help others; you just have to stop being a pansy and ask. So look, I know I have been kind of hard on you. But, you REALLY CAN do this. But no one will ever have more belief in you, or give you more credit than you are willing to give yourself. Just think of all the douche, lame ass, pansies that already did this. Believe in yourself, and your idea, and success will follow.
