Informed Consent Document
Please read this consent form. If you have any questions feel free to the experimenter. The procedures of this research project have been submitted and approved by the CSU Stanislaus psychology department. The following information is provided so that you can decide whether you wish to participate in the study. Participation in this experiment will not place you under physical or emotional risk. You should be aware that even if you agree to participate, you are free to withdraw from the experiment at any time. If you choose to withdraw, you will not be subject to reprimand or any other form of reproach. In order to determine the relationship between adolescence and peer relations, you will be asked a series of scripted questions. Please feel free to refuse to answer any individual question, you will not face any reprimand for doing so. You may also answer only to the point that you feel comfortable. “I have read the above statement and have been fully advised of the procedures to be used in this project. I was given sufficient opportunity to ask any questions I had concerning the procedures. I understand that I can withdraw from the study at any time without being subjected to reproach.”
